What keyword density should I aim for?
There is no magic number. Modern search engines reward natural, helpful writing, not repetition. As a rough guide, if one keyword is above 2–3% of all words, the text probably reads as repetitive and may look like keyword stuffing.
Use phrases, not just single words
People search with phrases like "convert png to jpg", not single words. The 2-word and 3-word tables show whether your target phrases appear naturally, and which related phrases you are already using.
Frequently asked questions
How is keyword density calculated?
Density is the number of times a word or phrase appears, divided by the total number of words, times 100.
What are stop words?
Very common words such as "the", "and", "is" and "of". They are hidden by default so meaningful keywords stand out.
Can I check a live web page?
Copy the visible text from the page and paste it here. Fetching pages directly is not supported, which also keeps your data private.
