What makes a password strong?
Length matters most. Each extra character multiplies the number of possible passwords. A random 16-character password using letters, numbers and symbols would take longer than the age of the universe to brute-force.
Tips for using strong passwords
Use a different password for every account and store them in a password manager. Turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered.

Are generated passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. They are created in your browser using crypto.getRandomValues and never leave your device.
How long should my password be?
At least 12 characters, and 16 or more for important accounts like email and banking.
Should I exclude similar characters?
Only if you will type the password by hand. Excluding them makes passwords slightly weaker but easier to read.
