How much should I tip?
Customs vary widely. In the US, 15–20% is standard in restaurants. In the UK and much of Europe, 10–12.5% is common, and a service charge may already be included. In Pakistan and India, around 10% is typical where service is not added. In Japan, tipping is generally not expected.

Should I tip on the amount before or after tax?
Traditionally the tip is calculated on the pre-tax amount, but many people tip on the total for simplicity. Enter whichever amount you prefer.
What does "round up" do?
It rounds each person's share up to the next whole number, so nobody needs coins. The extra goes to the tip.
Is a service charge the same as a tip?
