How to use JSON to CSV
- 1Paste a JSON array or open a .json file.
- 2Pick the separator you want in the CSV.
- 3Copy the CSV result or download it as a .csv file.
Features
- Comma, semicolon and tab separators
- Flattens nested objects into columns
- Correct handling of quotes and line breaks
- Open files or paste text
- Your data never leaves the browser
How nested JSON is handled
Nested objects are flattened into dotted column names, so {"address": {"city": "Paris"}} becomes a column called address.city. Arrays are written as JSON text inside the cell. Keys missing from some objects are left empty.
Opening CSV files in Excel
If all your data lands in one column in Excel, your region probably uses semicolons as the list separator. Choose ";" as the separator, or use Data → From Text/CSV in Excel to pick it manually.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so it is safe for private or business data.
What JSON structure is supported?
An array of objects works best. A single object is treated as one row, and an array of plain values becomes a single "value" column.
Is there a size limit?
No fixed limit. Files of several megabytes convert in a moment on most computers.
