Should I include the end date?
By default the end date is not counted, which answers "how many days from A until B". Tick "Include end date" when both days count, for example a hotel stay counted in days, a leave request, or an event running from Monday to Friday inclusive.
Business days
Business days count Monday to Friday only. Public holidays differ by country and are not removed, so subtract any holidays that fall in the period.
Frequently asked questions
How many days are in a year?
365, or 366 in a leap year. Leap years are divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400 (2000 was a leap year, 2100 will not be).
Does it work if the end date is before the start date?
Yes. The dates are swapped automatically and the difference is shown.
Are public holidays excluded from business days?
No. They vary by country, so subtract them yourself.
